Rich Culture of India

Today was the day full of surprises. Despite getting early, everyone got up with a big enthusiasm. Firstly, we went to visit Hawa Mahal were we could see astonishing use of the wind in architecture. Then we went to the City palace. The temperature was above 30 degrees, which is a lot for Polish people so we were getting a little bit tired. Our friends made us incredible surprise and took us for an elephant ride! It was amazing experience which I'm sure everybody enjoyed. What's more, that wasn't the end of attractions on that day! Our next stop was Vatika - amazing place, where we could see the beauty and richness of Indian culture. The musicians welcomed us with a good live music and tika. Everybody was so excited that we started to dance in front of entry. When we finally got in, we saw some Indian traditional  dances from various regions. Of course we couldn't handle without trying every single kind of dance. We also took a camel ride  It was strange and amazing at the same time.  I've already had a chance to try this but it still was incredible. It was becoming darker and darker with every minute, but we didn`t want to go back. The lady made us mendi on our hands. With beautiful paintings to eat a great dinner. The dishes in that restaurant was served on leaf plates. The food was spicy and delicious. After dinner nobody had any strength to do something more so we came back to campus. Thus, the day of surprises was very colorful and amazing ! by Weronika Sleczkowska

It has been 5 incrediable days of the INDO – POLISH Exchange journey. I have enjoyed myself thoroughly with  my partner Weronika and other Indian and Polish friends. Today was one of the best days of the trip. We all woke up refreshed in the morning after a long and tiring day. We had breakfast at  DPS Jaipur. We then started for AMBER FORT. The beauty and architect of the place left us all awestruck. We went to the CITY PALACE which had numerous artifacts giving us a glimpse of the rich heritage of Rajasthan royalty. On our way to City Palace we saw the HAWA MAHAL .At the CITY PALACE we learnt about the history of Jaipur city and its rulers. We were given a task by our teachers to learn the language of our guest. In the bus we interacted with each other to know more about one another and we Indians learnt some polish and taught the Polish children some Hindi.  The high light of the day was the visit to HATHI GAON and rode on elephants which all of us enjoyed.  The Pizza with chilled pepsi was welcome as the midday meal.
After the ride we went for shopping and all of us bought souvenir  and gifts from Jaipur , the Pink City .  The evening was spent at  VATIKA , a resort with Rajasthani ambience. When we entered there were people to welcome us traditionally with tilak and beats of Dhol. We all danced on the  beats . We rode on a  camel  and saw a puppet show. We saw folk dances of Rajasthan like Ghoomar and ate a delicious Rajasthani meal on Pattal ( plates made of leaf) . The Polish students  put  Mehandi (henna) on their hands .Vatika captured the beauty of Rajasthan    We had a lot of fun and it was a great experience spending time with our friends. This was a immense learning experience that  I will remember always .This enjoyable and learning trip could have only been possible with the help of our Principal Mrs. Aditi Misra , Sapna Ma’am ,  Mamta  ma’am , Anna Ma’am , Shreya Ma’am and Deepak Sir . I would like to thank all of them. The blog  by Shanivi.
