First
trip in Delhi!!
Finally after a long wait we were with our Polish friend's :-) :-) 17th
March '15 was the second day of the Indo-Polish Exchange Program which
started with a lot of excitement and expectation. After having a
delicious breakfast Julia and I headed towards the HUDA City Center metro
station where we met our friends Natalia , Asia , Saundarya and Kshiti. It was
the first ever ride on metro for our Polish friends and they were amazed to see
the sea of faces. We boarded the train and on way met Weronika , Kashia ,
Shanivi and Kavya . We reached Connaught Place - one of the leading financial ,
commercial and business centers in New Delhi India . We visited Palika Bazaar
(one of the first underground markets) which hosts several hundred shops
selling a diverse range of items , mainly electronics and clothing.We
shopped at Janpath one of the most famous market for
tourists. We all bought some accessories and Kurtis. We had sweet and
salted butter milk and had burgers and ice cream at McDonald's . On
our way back to home , all of us had a great time. We chatted , exchanged
thoughts , shared jokes and clicked pictures. Back at home , my family and
Julia had a nice and enriching conversation about the cultural diversity
of India and Poland over a cup of tea. We had an interesting
evening , sharing thoughts and getting to know each other. At dinner , Julia
tried some Indian delicacies. The day was fun-filled day and I look
forward in anticipation to having more fun in the days coming
ahead.
